The brief was refreshingly simple: our product makes doing your taxes
(a notoriously confusing and laborious process) easier. Back to deep research
(YouTube). There I discovered a young man who in any state of liquid ingestion
could toss a ping ball ball into a cup at great distances, through difficult obstacles
and strange angles. He made something pretty hard look very simple.
He was the answer. I also discovered he was professional skateboarder.
That took one phone call to hook-up and another to rally a film crew. I wrote,
produced and co-directed the spot. Oh and I'm also in it as your friendly narrator.
The budget was tight.
